Bungudu Local government council in Zamfara state has awarded contract for the construction of befitting place at the palace of Emir of Keatarkwashi in the local council at the cost of N31 million.
This was made known by the local council chairman Alh. Abdulaziz Ahmed Nahuche while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after laying foundation ceremony of the project today held at Kwatarkwashi emir’s palace.
He said, already the sum of N10 million has been disbursed to the contractor handling the project as mobilization funds, adding that, the contractor has been given three month ultimatum based on the contractual agreement to complete the work for commissioning.
According to him, similar project will soon be awarded by the local council at Kekun Waje district head’s palace in the local council which consisted total renovation of the district head’s resident and building new palace respectively.
He pointed out that, arrangement has been concluded by the local council to construct new NYSC residential apartment at the headquarter of the local council as well as total renovation of Bungudu local government lodge respectively.
He maintained that his administration has expended the sum of N6 million for the total renovation of Bungudu local government conference hall.
In his Goodwill message shortly after laying foundation of new Kwatarkwashi emir’s palace, the council chairman of Bakura local government who is also chairman Zamfara Association of Local governments, Alh. Dankande Gamji, commended Bungudu local council chairman for his foresight to human development, stressing that the contract came at the right time and right direction, while calling of the contractor handling the project to execute quality work.
